 to this picture?

The real beauty of this image is revealed only when a bright light or sunshine strikes it at a 45 degree angle.  It is then that the quilted maple background shines like mother of pearl.  When it does, the viewer searches for a meaning, and strangely enough, each person has a different interpretation. 

At a show, viewers offered 84 different titles.

Every artist does his own take on sunflowers.  In this version using black-eyed susans, the viewer sees the underside/backs because they are facing the vortex in the background.  One's eyes are drawn to the vanishing point, and that's the objective of the image.
